MMidori Studio

About / Independent retouching practice

Quiet craft.
Clear intention.

Midori Studio is a boutique photo retouching practice built for image-makers who value believable texture, controlled colour and dependable production.

The studio

One standard from
brief to delivery.

Midori Studio works remotely with photographers, creative agencies and brands across beauty, fashion, editorial, portrait, commercial and product photography.

Each project begins with the purpose of the image: where it will appear, how closely it will be viewed and what the photographer wants the audience to feel. Technique is selected around that intention rather than applied as a fixed style.

The studio is designed as a focused retouching partner. Communication, reference frames, review rounds and delivery specifications are kept clear so creative teams can make decisions without unnecessary production friction.

01

Texture before perfection

Skin, fabric, metal, glass and environmental detail should remain tactile. Cleanup removes distraction without making the image anonymous.

02

Colour with a purpose

Colour decisions support story, product accuracy and campaign continuity rather than following a temporary effect.

03

A controlled workflow

Reference frames, consolidated feedback and organised delivery keep image sets consistent from first approval to final export.

04

Worldwide collaboration

Briefs, reviews and final files move through a remote workflow suited to photographers and teams across time zones.

is handled.

Layered finishing

Complex work is organised so major corrections, colour and output decisions remain reviewable throughout production.

Reference-led consistency

A hero frame or agreed reference establishes the level of cleanup, texture, colour and contrast for the wider set.

Output-aware decisions

Retouching is evaluated against the final dimensions, colour space and intended use rather than only at extreme zoom.

Direct project clarity

Scope, file requirements, review stages and delivery expectations are confirmed before detailed production begins.
